Elisabeth Baker serves as the Executive Director of the Heart of Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce, where she oversees the organization’s administration, operations, programs, and events in support of business growth and economic development across McClain County, Oklahoma.
Working closely with the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Elisabeth leads both short-term initiatives and long-term strategic planning that advance the Chamber’s mission and enhance quality of life throughout the five-town region of Purcell, Goldsby, Wayne, Lexington, and Washington. She is committed to connecting people, strengthening local businesses, and supporting a vibrant, thriving community.
Elisabeth directs the Chamber’s digital and marketing strategy, including website management, social media, digital content creation, press releases, email campaigns, and publications. She also serves as the primary contact for all Chamber events, overseeing everything from large-scale community festivals and tourism initiatives to business networking and leadership programs.
In addition to her Chamber responsibilities, Elisabeth is actively involved in community leadership and placemaking efforts. She serves as Chairperson of the Purcell Tourism Committee, President of the McClain County Museum Board, and Past President of the Purcell Rotary Club. As of 2025, she also serves on the Purcell Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, contributing to initiatives that enhance public spaces and quality of life.
Elisabeth is a graduate of Leadership Mid-America, the Chamber Management Institute (CMI), the SCRO Regional Citizens Academy, and has completed Class I of the Institute for Organization Management (IOM), a premier professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
